§ 1. General Provisions
- These Terms of Service govern the use of the CogniWealth online educational platform, operated by CogniWealth Financial Education Inc. By registering and using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these terms and our Privacy Policy.
- The Platform provides educational content, tools, and resources related to personal finance. The services are intended for informational and educational purposes only and do not constitute financial, legal, or tax advice.
- We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any significant changes. Continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
- The services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
§ 2. Definitions
- Platform – The CogniWealth website and its associated services, accessible via the internet, providing educational content and tools.
- User – Any natural person who creates an Account and uses the Services provided by the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- Account – A personalized profile created by the User upon registration, which allows access to the Platform's Services.
- Services – All educational materials, courses, tools, calculators, and support offered to the User through the Platform.
- Regulations – This document, the Terms of Service, which defines the rights and obligations of the User and the Platform operator.
§ 3. Type and Scope of Services Provided
- The Platform provides Users with access to a library of digital courses, articles, videos, and interactive tools related to personal finance. The scope of access may depend on the User's chosen subscription plan (e.g., Explorer or Pro).
- Services are provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We strive to maintain the highest quality of content and platform availability.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to any User or third party for any modification or discontinuation of the Services.
- The content provided is for educational purposes. The User is solely responsible for any decisions or actions taken based on the information obtained from the Platform. We recommend consulting a qualified professional for personalized advice.
§ 4. Technical Requirements
- To use the Platform, the User must have a device with access to the internet and a modern, up-to-date web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). The Platform is not responsible for any issues arising from outdated software.
- The User must have an active email address for account registration and communication purposes.
- The User is responsible for their own internet connection fees and the proper configuration of their hardware and software.
§ 5. Rights and Obligations of the User
- The User agrees to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep this information updated. The User is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account password.
- The User agrees to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the Platform.
- All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of CogniWealth Financial Education Inc. or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright laws. The User may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without express permission.
- The User is prohibited from introducing any viruses, trojans, or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful. Any attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform will result in termination of the account.
- The User may terminate their account at any time through the account settings. Termination does not entitle the User to a refund for any prepaid subscription fees.
§ 6. Final Provisions
- These Regulations shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
- Any disputes arising from these Regulations shall be resolved by the competent courts in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
- If any provision of these Regulations is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck and the remaining provisions shall be enforced.
